Data Base “Hagiography of the Late Byzantine Period (1204-1453)”
The Data Base “Hagiography of the Late Byzantine Period (1204-1453)” that runs at the Institute of Historical Research/Section of Byzantine Research aims at collecting, elaborating and digitising the hagiographic material of the time; including additional elucidative metadata, the Data Base constitutes a useful tool for those who study Byzantine society.

It includes texts classified into the following categories: Saints' Lives, Encomia, Miracles, and Orations, according to the Bibliotheca Hagiographica Graeca (= BHG).

The user by entering a password has the possibility to search in the texts and in the "Books", i.e. in the information that has been recorded for each text of the Database (e.g. author, text dating, edition, manuscripts, etc.).
Τhe Data Base constitutes a useful tool for those who study Byzantine History.
